Wales 2012!

Finally finished the video haha! 🙂 So for those of you who don’t know, every summer I take a horse on holiday to Pembrey country park in Wales for 2 weeks to ride on the beach and however many hundred acres of forest 🙂 I also took my friend Kate and her horse Bert this year and since we needed to take 2 trailers because Willow doesn’t travel with a partition there was an extra space this year – so Will came too! I would of loved to take Dante but my mum wanted to take Will and since I had Willow it was only fair – and I was happy to have Will there as well 🙂 Dante was being ridden by 2 people at my yard while I was gone so he is still fit now. 🙂 Horses in the video: Skinnier big bay mare: Willow, 7 years old TB x Cleveland Bay Chunkier big bay gelding: Bert, 16 years old Cleveland Bay (those of you who have been watching my videos for a while and have sharp memories may remember Bert as the horse I loaned for about an hour before realising Willow had become available haha!) Piebald cob gelding: Will, 8 years old Dapple grey gelding: Digger, 9 years olf Highland, Kate’s first horse who is now on loan to the yard we kept the horses at. In the video Kate is riding Bert & Digger and I’m riding Will & Willow, but there are also a couple of clips and pictures where my mum is riding Will – and if you remember she only started riding a few weeks ago which is the reason we still have Will! Overall this holiday was epic as usual, Will & Bert behaved beautifully and we couldn’t fault them in any way at all! Willow on the otherhand was a completely different story. Let’s just say that she is so incredibly fit at the moent she was just bursting with energy… which led to her attacking a car and smashing a back window in. Yeah, seriously. We were coming back from the beach, she had been a complete idiot and kept reversing a rearing (more dramatically than what is shown in the video but we didn’t catch it on film) and it appeared she had calmed down and was behaving herself. We were on a lane and a car was coming so as usual we just went to stand on a grss verge, which would of been fine of the car hadn’t stopped because of one coming the other way and the 2 having a stand-off – Willow got bored, and BAM she had spun round and shoved her arse into the car and completely shattered the window, let’s just say I had to face a very angry polish woman whose English wasn’t exactly great. Anyway everything was fine, Willow’s backside is clearly made of steel, and we payed for the repair of the car window… but let me tell you I was not amused with my horse! FAQ in previous Wales videos: Where did you keep the horses? – At a livery yard we found by asking around on horse forums How did you find out about this place? – My family used to go on holiday here every summer before I got into horses, in fact my first ever ride was on a pony trek through the forest there! Where do you stay? – Every year previous to this we all stayed in our own caravan on a caravan club site 5 mins from the yard, but this time my parents stayed there and me & Kate had our own static caravan actually on the yard which was brilliant 🙂
