Wildfires up and down the Cascade range, still air and heat flirting with triple digits on this August trip. We tracked mustangs for miles we couldn’t close in a quarter-mile- just left dust in the wind where they stood. In a way, even that was rewarding, tracking these wild spirits and wild as the wind, disappearing before us.
