250 horse and rider combinations competed in the NRBC preliminary round, aiming to qualify for Saturday night’s finals. Of those, only the top 30 were invited to face off for their share of a generous payout and the title of 2024 NRBC Open Finals Champion.
Bred and owned by Monica Watson of Double Run Farm, Dust Off Ya Gunns is a six-year-old stallion by Gunnatrashya out of One Mighty Aphrodite. Him dam, also owned by Monica, was successfully shown by longtime in-house trainer, Peter DeFreitas.
With a final score of 226.5, “Dusty” and Peter took home a $52,500 paycheck and $10,000 in added winnings for a total payout of $62,500. We look forward to watching this pair continue to impress throughout Dusty’s career.
