With the Grand National fast approaching, official betting partner of the festival Betway released a new survey based on the responses of 5,000 customers trying to understand “How punters pick their Grand National Horse”.
According to the survey, it seems that most of the people become quite sensitive when it’s the time to choose the horse to bet on as the 46% of the punters said that they look for an emotional connection before the selection. On the other hand, 7 remains to be the luckiest number receiving the 14% of the vote. It is worth to be mentioned that since the end of the World War II, based on the race’s 71 winners 6 appears to be the most successful number with eight different winners and 7 the second best with 5.
Moreover, according to the public vote blue is the most popular silk colour with 27% and as statistics confirm the most successful one with 22 winners.
