This is really nice unlike any of the promos we usually see in the run up the big racing event. To coincide with this year’s Grand National, Bet Victor have created an animated Aintree racecourse containing all (yes, all) of the 1,900 runners of the last 50 years.
So if like many people on National day you’re inclined to throw the form book out the window when making your picks, the bookmarker also comes to some interesting conclusions that may help:
Go for number 6
Horse number 6 has won eight times over the 50 years, nearly three times more than any other. The site doesn’t say why this might be, but it shows that this year Total Recall (11/1) might be worth a flutter.
Go for green
When it comes to colour, over the last 50 years jockeys wearing green silks just pip blue to the post as the most likely winners – making Anibale Fly (10/1), Regal Encore (25/1), and Warriors Tale (33/1) the ones to watch.
