Breeders’ Cup Championships
Keeneland
October 30 – 31st 2015 | Start Time: 4:00 pm EST | Lexington, Kentucky
This years sold out Breeders’ Cup Championships is finally upon us! Can American Pharoah win the Breeders’ Cup Classic Saturday? A win would set a new precedence in horse racing. The Grand Slam. The Breeders Cup was originated in 1984 so that makes American Pharoah the first triple crown winner to go after this prestige title. Serena Williams just missed her Grand Slam victory at the US Open in September.
It won’t be an easy race. Top contenders like Frosted, Keen Ice, Tonalist, Honor Code and others are ready to rip the grand slam title from our Triple Crown winner. But is it this talented field of boys American Pharoah needs to worry about? Beholder stomped the boys and became the first mare to win the Pacific Classic in August. Beholder was cheated out of her Breeders’ Cup run last year after an infection side lined her. She’s won 5 out of 5 races this year and just might be the upset American Pharoah isn’t expecting. One thing is for sure this is going to be an exciting day of racing. Make sure to watch all the action Saturday starting at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on NBC.
