While the newest and grandest edition of the Triple Crown Series is underway, a lot of horse
racing fans all over the world can’t contain their excitement looking forward to all serious and
strong contenders who will be joining this incredible horse racing showdown. The Triple
Crown Series is composed of three horse racing legs initiated by the Kentucky Derby,
followed by Preakness Stakes, and to be closed by the Belmont Stakes. The last Triple Crown
winner was Justify, a Bob Baffert’s trainee who showed a stunning performance last year.
This year, Baffert had also sent out new entries and hopes that he can sweep the title again.
In the course of the Triple Crown Series, horse racing fans are not only looking forward to all
horse entries. Bet Preakness Stakes Online, waging Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes, and
looking after the pre and post parties that each tournament brings are some of the activities
that most fans are looking forward to partaking. While betting is an obvious activity that
everyone wants to dive in because it’s the main purpose of a horse racing show, some would
like to enjoy partying inside the racetrack so they can fully maximize their experience.
Talking about horse racing parties, if Kentucky Derby has Kentucky Oaks, Belmont Stakes has
an ultimate viewing party, then Preakness being the oldest horse racing event has its own
kick-off and pre-party. This is an annual event being held by the Preakness organization to be
able to have preview how the Preakness party would look like. The Pre-Preakness Party is not
only about fun and excitement, but it is created for a specific charitable cause.
While the official Preakness Stakes will be held by the third week of May, the Pre-Preakness
Party is going to kick-off on the 15th of May 2019. Earlier this week, America’s Best Racing
(ABR) will host the show. This will take place in Mt. Washington Tavern, Baltimore, Maryland.
ABR also stated that the Pre-Preakness party will be supported by their returning sponsor
which is Sagamore Racing. As mentioned above, the event is not only held to showcase how
Preakness Party this year would run, but there will be two charities which will benefit the said
event. The first organization to benefit the said show is Beyond the Wire which is an aftercare
organization that is based in Maryland. The second one will be the Thoroughbred Aftercare
Alliance or (TAA), an organization that grants, inspects, and accredits every aftercare
organizations in the country. All the proceeds of the tickets that will be sold during the event
and the sales n the silent auction will all go directly to these institutions.
For some who may not know, the Pre-Preakness Party was initially launched way back in 2014
by ABR and has become an official pre-party event before the Preakness Stakes will take over.
Besides, the pre-party is not only attended by avid horse racing fans, but it’s also graced by
the most popular horse racing trainers, owners, and jockeys. There are also Hollywood
celebrities joining the pre-party event who were more likely to be a horse racing fan for so
long.
Furthermore, the Preakness organization has also announced that this year’s pre-party will
have a “Preakness Preview” event which is held for the first time. This will be headlined by the
famous racing analyst by the name of Gabby Gaudet. All the festivity events in the Pre-
Preakness party will kick-off immediately showcasing how the 144th Preakness edition will
look like. In line with the pre-party, tickets are also now on sale. You may visit the Preakness
Stakes website to see the full details. The cost of the ticket ranges from $20 if you get it
online; however, if you’d like to get one on the pre-party venue, it costs around $30. Tickets
you will be purchasing includes a light buffet of snacks, appetizers, and drinks. Also, the ticket
includes free access to the Preakness Stakes Preview panel which you may have the chance
to win the major prize which would be two official ticket entries to the 144th edition of the
Preakness Stakes. This year’s edition of the Preakness Stakes will take place in Pimlico race
track in Baltimore, Maryland. Also, this might be the last time that the Preakness will be held
on the said venue as it might head to a new location five-mile away from Pimlico which is the
Laurel Park. While this is not yet confirmed, Stronach Group, the land developer of the
Pimlico race track has released a statement earlier this month supporting the evacuation of
Preakness in Pimlico.
