Augusta & Rockingham County Rodeo

Video Provided By:    Sorry if I didn’t get your run at Augusta! I had limited space on my camera so I could only record a few other runs, plus my dad had to record for me while I was riding and he would have forgotten who to record. 😛 Can you believe June-bug? She’s doing that not turning thing again! I don’t know why. She only does it when I run her outdoor, but yet I practice outdoor? So, Augusta County went pretty good, other than June-bug not wanting to turn. But Rockingham … oh boy. While I was at the barn giving June a bath, I heard a tornado / heavy thunderstorm warning for northern Rockingham (rodeo in southern). So we get to the fair early, go ride some rides and eat. I can’t believe I was able to ride rides without getting sick from nerves! Then it started to rain. And pour. So, June-bug and I stood in the trailer for what seemed like forever. Finally my friends and I went down to talk about who was scratching and who was still gonna ride in the very muddy pen! Rockingham doesn’t have good footing anyways (chunks of clay) so when you add water… good lord! Anyways, June-bug listened a little bit better than she did in Augusta. She still went wide on the second, but the other two were decent. After the run, when I was trying to stop her, we almost ran into the gate. She kind of sat down to stop, and the mud just took us out! We are okay though. Just a minor cut and soreness for me!
