A Horse’s Prayer (All I Ask of You – Jackie Evancho)

Video Provided By:    I dedicate this to Thistle, the white horse in the picture at the end of the video. I’ve never connected with a horse the way I do her. She is the sweetest horse I’ve ever met. She cares about little more than my comfort, even if that means sacrificing her own. She works so much harder than she’s ever asked to, whether it be holding still while I fit her for a Halloween costume or jumping an X that doesn’t reach her knees. Tomorrow is likely my last time to ride her. I’m just too big for her for us to progress. Thistle is only 15 hands and I’m 6 feet tall! She’s also 19 with arthreitis and hip problems. I almost hit the poles of our jumps with my feet because she’s so small. She’s taken me from my first jump to my first 3 shows, the third is tomorrow. She’s been amazing the whole way through, but our time is up. I have to move on to another horse, but I’ll still see her at the barn all of the time. The fact that I ever got to meet her is a miracle in of itself. She suffered through worms, butt diseases, and an abusive home for years before I knew that she existed. Even still, Thistle has many more years in her and I’ll be around for every one of them. About the video: I used Alwayshorselove’s clips. I asked him/her for permission, but they never answered, so I’ll take that as a yes XD If they want me to, I’ll take this down right away. This is one of the many videos that went through fazes. For a few days, I’d be obsessed with it, but the next week, it wouldn’t cross my mind. In the end, it’s okay. I think it’s pretty at times, but in general, it’s really sloppy. I first heard this song right after riding Thistle, so she was the first thing to come to mind. After all, this song pretty much sums up all that Thistle seems to think and feel. So that’s why it’s a horse’s prayer. Information: Song: All I Ask of You Artist: Jackie Evancho Clips: Alwayshorselove
